Real Name: Geoffrey Kilgarten
Gender: Male
Age: 63
Occupation: Doctor and Professional Thief
Appearance: A short, stocky man with black hair and a graying beard. He keeps his hair back in a ponytail. He looks his age, if not a little bit older.
Real Personality: He's snarky, elitist, and overall disapproving. He has a short fuse, and can be quite vengeful. There's very little he enjoys doing any more, since he devoted his life to his work. When it comes to that, he's willing to do whatever it takes to reach his goals, moral or not, so long as he feels his findings will benefit humanity.
Super-Name: Dr. Lux
Powers/Skills: He has a machine that not only allows him to see, but also allows him to project images and holograms onto the minds of others. Lux is also a certified genius.
Alignment: True Neutral
Fighting Style: Kilgraten doesn't fight, instead hiring others to do it for him. He also tends to use illusions to confuse and distort his opponents, allowing him to escape if need be.
Super Personality: Same as real
Costume: He wears a white suit and bowtie, also sporting thin white sunglasses, along with his machine.
Identity: Public
Backstory: Lux was born in Bristol, UK, and graduated at the top of his class from Oxford University, followed by moving to America and getting a PhD from Cornell University. He began studying optics and the human eye, and started searching for a mechanical cure to blindness. When he began human testing, his tests began very promising, but everything came crashing down when they learned that the machines were breaking down brain cells in the test subjects, causing different symptoms in each person. Lux quickly lost his funding, but remained on the hunt for the perfect cure to blindness. When he started suffering from early-onset blindness, he himself began using the machine, which began to wear away at his prefontal cortex, making him unsociable, yet keeping his intellect intact. He became a thief to pay for his research, and he continues to work on his machine, trying to perfect it and stop the "Brain Wear", which is still affecting him to this day. He found that his machine could be used to put images not only into his own mind, but into the minds of others as well, creating illusions and lies to protect himself from those who would try to stop him.
Motivation: To successfully find a technological cure for blindness.
Group Affiliations: N/A
PERSONAL AFFILIATIONS
Comet - Lux and Comet are old enemies, fighting for the better part of six years. Whenever he's in Avalon on a heist, he's wary of "The Quickster", as Lux calls him.
Mordred - Lux and Mordred have worked together in the past, and learned that they don't tend to work together very well. Their morals and means are too different. Lux actively avoids Mordred, who continues to try and recruit Lux despite all this.
