Vesper talks to her manager quick and let's her know she's going on he break. The manager is a bit angry at her, as it's the busiest hour of the day, but she understands and let's Vesper go. Vesper walks outside feeling nervous, and that nervousness starts effecting the people around her. Karina begins to feel nervous as well, going from angry to worried.
"What are you doing in Avalon Falls? I thought you were going to Kallem for schooling?" Mom was no longer yelling at least. Vesper just shrugged a bit.
"I... I decided to come here instead. Why are you here anyway?" Vesper replied.
"Work."
"Making something for a client or is it The Green Father again?"
"Both." Karina pulled out her phone and started calling someone. "And spoeaking of Fathers, I'm sure he'd love to know you've been lying about where you've been."
"Mom wait!" But it was too late. She could hear him on the phone, though not what he was saying. She balled her fists and looked to the ground and started crying.
Karina noticed and looked to her daughter. "Hey I'll call you back ok? Yeah. I love you too. Have fun in England." She hung up the phone and hugged her daughter. "I'm not mad, ok? But I don't know why you couldn't just tell me you were here."
"Mom. I need to show you something." Vesper pulled away from her mother and started to walk down an alleyway. "You might want to make a flame to see this."
Vesper pulled out a pocket knife, something she needed with all the creeps around here, and placed the blade in the palm of her hand. Karina knew what she was about to do and moved forward to stop her but Vesper was too quick. She winced in pain for a moment and showed her hand. The cut was there alright, but it was healing. Karina held her hand to her mouth, in shock. "That's not it. I've been freezing things I touch too. I don't know what's going on. I want it to stop. I came here because I heard someone was working on a cure."
Karina once again embraced her daughter. Unsure what to tell her. Eventually she found the words she was looking for. " If you truly don't want these gifts, the best thing to do is learn how to control them. That way, you never have to worry about them harming anyone. That way you never have to use them. We'll find you a teacher, ok?"
Vesper nodded. Though she just wanted the powers to be gone, this was probably her best option. Dr. Zoller wasn't around at the moment anyway so cure research wasn't happening. She wiped the tears from her eyes and put her knife away.
"I'll introduce you to someone who may be able to help, ok?" Karina lead Vesper back inside to Mordred. "And now, I have a request of you, sir. This is my Daughter, Vesper. She needs someone to train her."
