Poppy makes her way to the long stretch of beach and breathes in the sea air This place was perfect. Smiling kicks off her shoes and let her feet feel the beach sand and sat down. She then brought out her canvas and watercolor while taking out her paint brush and started to paint the scenery in front of her.

A small sailboat is on its way in to shore. It weighs anchor and stops at a nearby little pier and Peter Knutssen walks off his little ship. This is his first visit to Kallam and he needed to purchase some bandages since he had gotten pretty hurt out at sea. He walks over to Poppy since she is the only person nearby. "Excuse me," he starts, "do you know where I can buy myself some bandages near here?"

To engross in her painting she didn't realize anyone was approaching her until they spoke. she let out a startled squeaked and looked up at Peter and placed a hand on her chest to calm down "yeah, the city is about a ten to fifteen-minute walk from here, I'm pretty sure you can find a store pretty close by, or you can go to downtown Kallem there is a mall over there." She looked at the ship "are you a fisher?"

"I'm a fisher sometimes," Peter replies. "Although I don't know if I'd really call myself a fisher. I'm mostly a traveller I suppose." He notices Poppy's painting. "Ah, you paint. I'm sorry for bothering you, miss. Thank you so much for your time. Now I really ought to be going." He turns around and starts walking into town. He walks with a slight limp and he holds his right hand over an injury on his left arm. After having taken a couple of steps he turns around again and speaks before he continues walking. "I'm Peter, by the way. It was nice meeting you."

Poppy gave a slight frown at his limping form "Im poppy, but please call me melody nice to meet you peter" she nervously tapped her paint brush on her arm "do you need any help you aren't looking so good"

"I'll manage, but thank you anyway," Peter replies. But only a few steps later he falls on one knee and breaks his fall by putting his right hand down on the ground. "Dammit, that battle really did take its toll on me," he thinks to himself.

poppy stood up and jog up to him "I have a feeling you bit off more than you can chew here" she held out her hand to help him back up "maybe you should go to a hospital instead" her face full of worry.

Peter stands up with the help of Poppy. "Thanks," he says weakly. He was getting more and more annoyed with himself that he wasn't able to do more than this right now. "Maybe you're right... I should go to a hospital right away. I assume the closest one in also in the city somewhere?"

"Yep, one minute" she ran back to her supplies and gathered them before looking around for a washed up stick finding a good size one she rushed back to peter "here, I'm not sure how you are with others helping you so maybe this can help you stay upright and not on your knees."

"Oh, thank you," Peter responds. The stick was definitely strong enough for him to be able to use as a cane. "I should get going. You've done more than enough to help a total stranger. I thank you again. I will strive to repay you for your kindness one day, Melody. Until then, have a good one." He then starts walking again in towards the city. The stick is of great help to him.

Peter stops in his tracks and thinks. He knows he is currently weak and injured, but his stubbornness makes him inclined to turn down help from others. Especially from people he just met. He knows that his stubbornness sometimes makes him stupid though, so for once he decides to let go of his pride. He turns around to face Poppy again. "I..." he starts, sounding rather hesitant. "Would you come with me to the hospital? It's just that... it'd probably take me a very long time to get there by myself, not knowing the city and whatnot." He shuts his mouth and hopes that he is not asking too big a favour.

Poppy smiles "sure" she walks up to him, even if he had said no she would follow him anyways she more afraid the guy will be found on the sidewalk dead from his injuries. "hopefully we can hail a taxi so we can get there and faster and you not stuck walking all the way there."

"Thank you so much," Peter says with a smile. They start walking. "So I assume you live here in this city?" Peter asks as they're closing in on Kallam.

"I am for now, I like to travel and sometimes I stay at random cities most of the time if the city gives me some ideas on what to create in my paintings. Where do you come from?"

"I see," Peter responds to Melody's answer. She was a traveler too apparently. Peter sees potential for many rich conversations about their travels. He then moves on to answer her question. "I was born and raised at sea, and to be perfectly honest with you, I don't even know what sea I was born on. We sailed all over the globe for a very long time. My mother was born in Norway though, so I guess - in a sense - that's where I'm from."

"that's cool, I never been out to see I always take airplane or I try to hitch a ride with someone, I'm actually quite surprised how many people that are nice and not random serial killers" she joked.

Peter did not feel the same way. In his experience there was rather a surprisingly large amount of unpleasant people in this world. Melody was the first really nice one that he'd met in a very long time.
After a while they reached the hospital and Peter was very weak. He had been pushing himself hard to get all the way there, so once they went through the main entrance he collapsed and fainted.
